The older US-24-250W actually has a much larger PoE budget and all 24 RJ45 ports support PoE+. Ubiquiti's current documentation lists a 250W total PoE budget for that Gen1 model.

The USW-24-POE provides a good balance for conventional business networks that need 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports but only a moderate number of PoE devices. Sixteen PoE+ ports can handle access points, cameras, phones and other compatible equipment while the remaining ports serve conventional Ethernet devices.

Its fanless design is another significant advantage. Unlike higher-powered switches that may require active cooling, the Standard 24 PoE can operate silently when installed according to Ubiquiti's ventilation requirements.

The second limitation is network speed. All RJ45 ports and both SFP uplinks are limited to 1Gbps, so there are no 2.5GbE access ports or 10G SFP+ uplinks.

The Ubiquiti UniFi USW-24-POE is a strong choice for conventional Gigabit networks that need a combination of powered and non-powered Ethernet ports.
